Kastner Piano

 

APPEARANCE:
A small smart modern German piano. Teak finish. Looks almost as new. Aprox size - 39.5" high, 52.5" wide,18.5 " deep. Internals are nice and clean.

TYPE OF PIANO:
Metal frame. Cross-strung, underdampered, 85 notes. 2-pedal. Est 1980.

PLAYING CHARACTERISTICS:
A medium-firm touch, giving a powerful dynamic response. Tuned to conert pitch. Quite a bright sound a for modern instrument (almost brash) but there is a nice balance between bass and treble and the piano lends itself to clear voicing of melody or bass line. Would suit many pianists up to grade 7 or 8, but might not be favoured by someone who wishes to playing quiet and delicate music.
